When La Casa Ristorante first opened its doors on March 10, 1994, proprietor Syl Basacco had already done his homework by studying and copying many of our Mom's recipes from back home in Ceprano, Italy. In fact it used to be quite the treat when La Casa featured our Mom's home-made lasagna as the daily special. Some of these recipes are still on our menu today, along with many other delicious dishes our talented chefs have created over the years. Bottom line : you don't last this long unless your food is really good!
My husband and I dined at La Casa on Saturday night. We started with Mussels for appetizer - delicious...I wanted to drink the sauce it was so good. We also shared a Ceasar Salad. The dressing was very nice, perhaps a bit too much garlic (a little too overwhelming). Still tasty though.
I ordered lobster pasta, all I can say is DELICIOUS! So tasty. I brought some home and was looking forward to eating it again the next day for lunch. My husband ordered beef tenderloin. Again, delicious! Tender, perfectly cooked and tasty. The waiter was very professional and friendly. We had a great time and a fantastic meal. No wonder La Casa is still one of the best restaurant's in London. It's so nice to go out for dinner and receive a great meal. The meals are not pretentious or overpriced (unlike other London restaurants in the downtown area). The food is simply delicious. Thank you for a great night out!Read more

Good food, good service(slow drink service but I think the waiters are also the bartenders), and great location\atmosphere. Bit of a boring spring menu but anxious to go back and see what they create for summer. Close to Niagara region and lots of wonderful fresh produce and farm products. Very large and expensive wine selection. Unfortunately a very gritty\sandy scallop kept the food from getting a perfect score.Read more

This Hellenic marvel makes its name with "loaded-with-flavour" Greek dishes like saganaki, souvlaki and a Greek fries platter that'll set your cheeks to watering. Marinated meats are a Krystos specialty, and the always fresh-cooked, menu spills over with yummy examples of the lamb, beef and free-range chicken versions of the stuff. Special mention for the tangy tzatziki sauce. The décor at this North York resto is clean and modern, highlighted with an abundance of glass, onyx and marble, along with special features like a waterfall, fireplace and a summer patio that calls out for folks to sip Cava Papaiouanni on it. A sensible pricing strategy keeps the entire menu south of $20. A huge take-out area draws repeat business. Krysto's offers take-out, delivery and catering 7 days a week. At Piatto Vecchio Ristorante, you can enjoy the quality and ambiance of a big city restaurant in the relaxed surroundings of Richmond Hill. Located conveniently on the northeast corner of Bathurst and Rutherford Road, with ample free parking.
A true Italian Trattoria located on Lansdowne Ave. just below St. Claire Ave. in Toronto. The idea behind the Big Ragu was to provide the neighbourhood with a relaxed venue for eating simple Italian food, cooked extremely well, accompanied by excellent wine, at a great price. At The Big Ragu, we are not particularly into trends and gimmicks. Home-made pasta, slow cooked braises, warm and cold salads, and classical desserts are our specialities.

I visited the Richmond hill location recently for the first time. Considering it was a Monday the restaurant was almost full , a little wait and I was seated by a gracious lady ( I think one of the owner's family).I liked their ambience (they have recently renovated) and efficient service. The food was just awesome. Butter chicken was delicious , lamb chops tender and the black dal complimented the whole meal. Nan was soft. Ask for seat in glass round room.Read more
As petite and charming as the little bird for whom it's named, this sweet Bloordale Village restaurant is a standout for its hearty, locally derived, seasonal mealtime offerings. Chalkboard menus — trumpeting such bursts of flavour as a marinated olive starter, an artichoke and clam soup and a branzino main — create the desired effect of chilling in a friend's kitchen over a swath of rustic, old-school fare. A small but thoughtful, mostly French wine list doesn't disappoint, and there's a decent selection of beer, too. Regulars rave about the six-course chef's menu, and the sense of enlightenment with which the experiencer leaves you. The street-facing counter provides ongoing entertainment.
Paese Ristorante welcomes you to their restaurant. They are open at night all week. You can get there by public transit. The surrounding location is remarkable for its parks and merchants.
Wow! what a great spot on King Street. Owner Tony Loschiavo has done it again. Newly opened Paese on King Street delivers. With a beautiful upscale atmosphere, fun and not pretentious, he is going to give the others on this King St West strip a run!
Excellent food, great friendly genuine service.
Can't wait to return for their bar menu that promises to have bar snacks with a twist. Big portions, affordable prices.Read more

....The noodles arrive in a large, shallow bowl with an elegant shape. Arrayed on top of the noodles in orderly rows are the pork, shrimp and a darkly crisp spring roll, along with strips of vinegared carrot and daikon, shredded cucumber, fresh mint leaves and bean sprouts. Nuoc cham sauce arrives on the side in a pretty little star shaped ramekin. The aroma of the grilled pork tantalizes. It has been sliced thin to maximize the crispy charred exterior, while still being pleasantly fatty and tender. The spring roll is perfectly fried and filled with a dense mixture of delicately chopped meat and vegetable. The shrimp has been finely minced and mixed with a good dose of garlic, before being formed around a sugarcane skewer, reminiscent of a sophisticated Pogo.....
