They used a really cool 3-D modelling software (super modern!) that allowed us to plan out exactly how our deck would eventually look in our actual backyard. I didn't feel "up-sold" at all and it was super cool to see and hear all the options that we could choose from in order for us to pick what would eventually look best in our backyard (we even kicked around the idea of including a half-pipe for skateboarding and a fireman pole to get from the upper level to the lower level which was super fun although my wife eventually kiboshed the ideas...).
