Featuring Sting and other stars like Feist, Michael Buble and Wyclef Jean, this film was a thrilling revolutionary investigation into how the brain reveals why music affects our lives.She is currently developing a slate of international co-productions including: The Woman Who Joined the Taliban, for CBC; Volcano, a Werner Herzog documentary about man's relationship with this dangerous phenomenon, also for CBC; Charles Dickens and the House of Fallen Women, a mini-series about the author's strange ten-year experiment with female prisoners; And I'll Love You When You're a Star – a feature arts documentary on the career of Leslie Caron, star of An American in Paris, with ARTE. Vanessa is also working with CTV's W5 on Who Killed Arafat?, a forensic science mystery. She is also developing The Science of Sainthood, a series on how the Vatican uses medical science to determine who becomes a saint
Charles Street Video (CSV) is a non-profit, membership-based artist centre. Our mandate is to provide media artists with opportunities for production and to foster an environment for the advancement of media arts practises, experimentation, and the creation of community. SV rents editing rooms and production gear. We host resident artists, provide workshops and equipment orientations, and co-host many youth development projects, among other activities. Ours is a busy, active centre for making media art work, however you may conceive of it.
