The grassroots organization of social rights (OPDS) is an advocacy organization for the rights of people on welfare. A thrift shop with a social vocation: Fringues is also a work platter for women in the Fringues & Cie professional integration program, offered by the YWCA Montreal. The store offers to women with difficulties in integrating the workforce a paid work experience and a complete training for sale and customer service. All profits generated by sales at the boutique are reinvested in the program.
