Pat Bay Pottery Also known as Anderson Pottery is just a little off the beaten path in the scenic Patricia Bay area and uniquely combines the potters studio and showroom under one roof. You have come to the place where for the past 31 years Diana and John have been producinga full range of High Fired Stoneware and Porcelain including a selection of one of a kind pieces.
I started taking pottery lessons in high school at the Willistead Manor Coach House in the early 70's. With money I earned selling functional pottery I bought my first wheel and kiln while attending high school. In 1980 I graduated from Sheridan College School Craft & Design with a Ceramic's Major.
Teaching many children's clay classes over the years has inspired me to make ornamental clay animals and learn new project ideas such as clay whistles. The functional pottery I do is inspired by the needs of my family for durable, chip resistant pottery that can withstand being microwaved and put through a dishwasher. It is very important to me that my work be affordable and that I also have products on the table that would interest children and be in their price range.
