As an avid traveler, I have tried sushi in many states: California, Arizona, Florida, Maine, Nevada ...
Nothing compares to Mitsui sushi. My boyfriend and I are always excited to get home and go to "our" place. The food is always fresh and consistent. The atmosphere could be improved but let's be honest, you're not going there for the ambiance. The food is so delicious you're not even paying attention to your suroundings. The staff is great and always greet you with a hello and goodbye. I've been going there for 5 years and would choose no other place.Read more

Went to DC with the child for open house and decided to look for lunch on the way to 401. We passed it and turned back as we didn't want fast food. It's a tiny place with 2 tables and 4 rickety chairs but we are happy we stopped there. The girl (owner's daughter it turns out) behind the counter was sweet and efficient. She made us 4 samosas & 4 shawarmas that were delicious and filling. The owner provided 2 free bottles of water for our 1st time there as well as a orange drink for the two guys ahead of us, also their 1st time. Friendly, fun and good food too. We put the tables together and had an excellent lunch. There's just no elegant way to eat shawarmas so you need lots of napkins. Wouldn't want to eat there in the winter as it probably gets quite cold in there.Read more

The Hakka Chinese population in Toronto comprised of first or second generation of Chinese born in Calcutta, India. The word Hakka means 'Guest'. The Hakka Chinese are minority people who have emigrated from South China to places like India, Mauritius and Jamaica. In India, Calcutta was a primary location for Hakka Chinese to settle and further expand business opportunities such as dentistry, photography, leather tannery and Hakka chinese restaurant. Quite often our Indian customers have heard of 'Bentinck Street' and leather tanneries in Tangra, now populated with scores of Hakka Chinese restaurants.Since 1980's, most Hakka Chinese from India have settle in Toronto, Canada. The Chinese Indian flavour food is unique and different cooking style than the traditional or main stream Chinese food. The Hakka food is cooked with various Indian spices such as our famous Chicken Pakora or Chilli Chicken. Our head chef is originally from Bombay (Mumbai) who has mastered the Hakka cooking over the years and opened Tangerine Asian Cuisine on July 17, 2003.
Haven't been here for a while and was pleasantly surprised to find that they have redecorated. Replaced a number of tables with booths and that makes it much nicer inside. Food is great. Lots of variety. Excellent prices. The one thing about this place that annoys me is that they never bring your bill to the table -- I always have to go to the cash to find out how much the bill is and pay. Not a biggie but still annoying.Read more

I visit this place every week at least once. The food is great. For a chinese place the prices are considered to be mid to high, however, the quality and service make up for it. But if you are used to eating at western family type restaurants, like baton rouge, alice fuzili, jack astors, etc. This place is a real bargain. Their dim sum is great too, one of the best finds in Richmond Hill. Most of the bargain chinese restaurants tend to offer food that are on the rustic side. This is refined cantonese dining, but this aspect may be lost on many westerners who are used to the China Town grub, and may not have the same discerning palate. Nonetheless, eating there will definitely improve your palate, and you will wonder how a place like the keg, shoeless joe and other similar places can charge $30 per person for the food they serve, and still be considered to be moderately priced.Read more
