This is definitely what is usually called a Ma & Pa family restaurant and is run by a very personable Chinese couple. They offer a menu of familiar chinese dishes along with a good 'Canadian' selection too. One of each type on the daily special. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the service by Lily is excellent.
You can judge the popularity as at breakfast time, the parking lot is usually full of local contractors, lunch and dinner are less busy.

Finally I have found the BEST dim sum place in ottawa. I was extremely happy with the quality of the food here. The clam ha gao, char siew bao, just everything I had was delicious! I am done with Somerset. The place is also pretty big, unlike so many of those other places where you can everyone's conversation.

Best sushi all-you-can-eat in Ottawa to my knowledge, I live in Stittsville and quite willing to make the drive. Fish is always fresh, nori is never chewy, presentation is good and the service is better than most. Weekend menu is well priced and features real tuna (not white fish) as well as some really terrific premium rolls. Lots of items, even kids and non-sushi eaters can enjoy a decent selection of dishes.

Ive been coming to this restaurant for years, having grown up in the East end. The quality of the food is always impeccable and the warm ambiance lends well to an intimate dinner, or family affair. The owners are particularly friendly and welcoming, which on top of the delicious food, will leave you wanting to return for another visit! :)
