The concept waterproof expansion joints have its roots and history in tunnel waterproofing and contracting going back to 1955. The concept of a continuous waterproof expansion joint was adapted from this idea, and incorporated into roofing and waterproofing applications. SITURA has been supplying waterproof expansion joints for projects all over North America and the world since 1996. SITURA has developed applications for three types of waterproof joints namely, RedLINE®, FlamLINE® and AquaLINE®. Each type of joint has a specific use, for example RedLINE is used applications that involve any type of membrane that is liquid, either hot or cold. FlamLINE is used in applications where the waterproofing membrane is torched or self adhered. AquaLINE is specifically developed for use in potable water applications, and is NSF certified for this purposal. All joint material used by SITURA Inc., are manufactured under the ISO 9001 quality standard.
