My company was incorporated in 2003 under the business name: Carter Urban Design Ltd. -- James Carter Design is the operating name I have now chosen to use. I completed my Design and Drafting program in Nova Scotia in 1997. After school I went to work for a commercial construction company, where I spent several years learning the ins and outs of construction as a skilled labourer & contract administrator. From there, I moved to Calgary and spent the next 7+ years in various roles, such as: Draftsperson/Project Estimator, Construction Manager, and Lead Hand Installer. I made the switch back into the office as a designer in 2004. Here I spent 4+ years with a reputable architectural design firm where my knowledge of the design world really flourished. From there, I felt confident branching out on my own; which brings us to today.

The Springbank Park For All Seasons Agricultural Society is responsible for the operation of all recreational and social gathering facilities situated on its site that is located in the community of Springbank, Alberta, Canada. SPFAS is a non-profit organization. The Society's primary objective is to provide recreational facilities and services to residents of Springbank and other Communities. SPFAS is very much a grass roots community oriented organization. It has been built progressively by Springbank Community residents over a 50 year period that began when the Society was first established in the last 1960's.
