Community acupuncture provides high quality acupuncture and herbal medicine treatments at affordable prices.On your first visit to Straight to the Point Community Acupuncture, you will be asked to fill out our paperwork. Upon completion of this, you will be shown into the community treatment room where you will choose a recliner and sit down. We will have a quiet chat with you about your health and come up with a treatment plan. After you recline back and get settled, we place the needles in your arms, legs, head and/or abdomen and then leave you to rest. We can now take care of another patient while the needles do their work. We treat between 6 and 8 patients per hour this way.Because we are able to treat more than one patient at a time, we can lower our prices per treatment. St. Vital MuseumWelcome to the St. Vital MuseumThe former St. Vital police station, located within the fire station at 600 St. Mary's Road, is now the current home of the St. Vital Museum. It is a two-storey brick structure with stone facing on the main level. Erected in 1914, the station housed both the St. Vital Police and Fire Departments, the latter of which first began operating with three horse-drawn carriages and six firemen. At the rear were stables for horses which drew the wagons and sleighs up until the 1930's at which point pumper trucks were used. The first fire truck appeared in 1923 with the purchase of an REO Speedwagon. The second floor of the building also originally provided living quarters for the firemen.

At the time, it was recognized that for students to be truly effective in representing their collective interests to the government, it was vital to unite under one banner.Now with over 600,000 members, represented by more than 80 students' unions, the Canadian Federation of Students is the voice of post-secondary students in Canada. There are 5 member locals in Manitoba uniting over 42,000 full- and part-time students.Universities and colleges are funded primarily by the federal government and administered exclusively by the provincial government. As such, government policies and priorities determine the quality and accessibility of post-secondary education in Canada.Tuition fee levels, students financial assistance programs and funding for research are all set directly or indirectly by both levels of government. It is vital that students collectively organise at the provincial and national levels to ensure students' rights and concerns are fully represented.STRENGTH IN NUMBERSNo individual students' union, no matter how big or active, has the resources or political clout on their own to effectively influence post-secondary education policies
