This local congregation was called into being by our Lord, Jesus Christ, in September 1953, with 29 charter members, under the leadership of Pastor Phil Pritchard. Pastor Walter Boldt became its first full-time minister in 1954. He oversaw the building of the Alliance Chapel on 102 Avenue. The first baptism service was held at the Kiskatinaw River with 11 believers following the Lord in baptism.
