Two years later he began working with a lawn maintenance company in London where he stayed for 5 years, learning the trade and becoming the foreman of two large crews and oversaw the maintenance of the London Airport, The Middlesex County Catholic School Board as well as more than half a dozen 5-10 acre estates. It was in the winters here that he took courses on pruning, insect and disease control and graduated from the University of Guelph’s Turf Managers Course in 1972.
