In 1972, Maurice along with his wife Patricia, decided to pursue his life’s passion thereby leaving his position as a qualified heavy duty mechanic. The early years held valuable lessons in woodworking theory and production techniques. Having produced furniture of all kinds, Maurice, his wife and his partner, then decided to go full time into building kitchens. By the early 1980’s, production was in full swing, they employed a staff of 25, and were producing 100’s of custom kitchens every year. Deciding this wasn’t what they wanted, Maurice and Patricia relocated back to Merritt B.C. In 1983, Mill Creek Cabinets was founded. With a much smaller staff, and a personal business approach over the last 26 years, he has persisted in keeping things very personal and very custom. Each client will be met by the owner or his family for design and planning consultation.
