This has been a really nice experience for me. I am new to this dojo and the instructor is excellent. I feel very welcome. He is an excellent communicator and very passionate regarding his teachings. Everyone was very kind and supportive at the dojo. Other students encouraged me when I was learning. In all my travels, I have yet to find a better instructor. Mill Bay has no idea how lucky we are.Read more
The dance school was established in 1976 by Dolores Kirkwood. Carole and Lindsay Martyn bought the studio in 1990 and have continued providing dance instruction at the high standards set by the founder. In 2004, they received the City of Nanaimo Excellence in Culture Award for the dedicated work they have done with the children in the community and the quality of service they continue to provide. We are proud of the members of our faculty who were once dancers themselves and are now highly qualified teachers, who offer experience and expertise.
