Natacha V. Beim established Core Education & Fine Arts (CEFA), Canada's first junior kindergarten school, in 1998. Our full day early learning program is designed for infants and children up to five years old. The enriched curriculum features a unique partnership of core subjects, such as Reading and Math, with fine arts, including Drama and Yoga, providing children with the freedom to learn and grow through play.
My 18 month old just started at cefa Langley a couple of weeks ago, and in this short time I have seen her flourish in an astounding way. She is doing art projects, learning songs & dances, and is able to say the words for so many things that I haven't taught her myself. The teacher to student ratio is always well over the government minimum, and it is so relieving to know that she is getting so much attention and love. I cannot wait to watch her grow into the older grades, as I walk by these classrooms I can't believe the things they are doing! The school is so organized all the time, and the curriculum is unbeatable. One of the best things, is that there is an on-site chef who makes all of the children's meals from scratch each day. Chef even caters to the fact that my child is a vegetarian. I guess, in sum, I want to say that there is no better feeling in the world to know that if you can't be with your child, at least you are giving them the best experience available.Read more

The Seikido Martial Arts Federation of Canada was founded by Paul Li Doshu in 1980. Li Doshu was trained by his grandfather in this discipline of Martial Arts beginning as a child, and went on to train in Hong Kong and Japan in subsequent years. Over 25,000 students have trained in Seikido since the school's inception in 1980, and the school has now grown to 300 actively training students, based in several Dojos throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Seikido instructors are highly qualified - many having been schooled since childhood by Li Doshu. Seikido continues to be true to the original intent of Martial Arts - to equip students with self-defense skills while developing both mental and physical strength. Discipline, respect and caring for others are fostered through disciplined training and Dojo etiquette. Curriculum for Lil' Dragons and children programs incorporate games to develop agility, coordination and control.
