My friend and I fell upon this restaurant quite by accident. We were getting gas at the nearby gas station and decided to check out the restaurants in the little plaza beside it. Boy did we luck out!We went into this little unassuming restaurant and didn't know what to expect. The decor is somewhat drab and the bathrooms were terrible. This made me a little skeptical about the whole place but we were pleasantly surprised. So many menu choices to choose from with many dishes I have never even hear of. Everything was amazing!!! I loved watching the older couple cooking in the kitchen. They had a huge wok over a large controlled fire. It was so awesome to watch. I can't wait to go back. I wish I didn't live 6 hours away,

I have never been disappointed by this place. It might not be an architectural wonder with spa atmosphere, but I don't care!
The salad rolls use thai basil which gives them a beautiful sophisticated flavor. The soup broth is very well balanced with garlic, ginger, anise and lemon grass.

We have been coming here for several years now and just can't stay away. It's the service and staff that make it for us! The food is not fancy, just reliable and good.
I can take the whole family here with kids and all, do a girls outing or a datenight and this place fits the bill every time.

I am from the US, and every year since I was little it has been our tradition to eat at the Mandarin when we visit my grandparents. The food is so tasty! We are partial to the chicken balls, but there are many other great dishes to choose from. The Mushroom egg foo yung and mushroom fried rice are also wonderful.
The staff is always very friendly and helpful! There are some years we get the chicken balls, put them on ice, and bring them home to the US for my sister for her birthday. They reheat on a cookie sheet well.
Our family is a bit crazy about Mandarin, but I would definitely recommend it. The service is great, the food is good and priced well for what you get, and they handle large parties well.

I am a huge fan of Asian food, but unfortunately had nowhere to go for good Korean food since moving to Ottawa, until I found Koreana that is.
Koreana is a low key gem tucked away on Somerset. The staff is always super friendly and service is very quick. Tea along with complimentary appetizers are brought within a couple minutes.
On to the food. I absolutely love the bulgogi which is at least as good if not better than most of the competition in in Toronto. It's always sizzling hot and if you don't put a napkin on your lap you are bound to have some crackling oil drops land there. The meat is very well marinated and tender, and the portions are very big. The various stews are likewise very good, my favorite is the pork stew.
They also service sushi but I have never had to chance to try it. The bulgogi is just too hard to pass up.
As with most Korean restaurants, your order is accompanied by complimentary side dishes like kimchi and seaweed. All are very good except the occasional broccoli salad which I'm not a fan of.
Koreana has now become one of my monthly haunts. Highly recommended.

I've been going to Yangtze for years. It's definitely the best Chinese food you're going to have.
Their "midnight snack" menu is excellent, but I usually end up ordering dim sum a la carte due to how much I like it.

haven't been to the Mekong in a while, but decided to try it again the other night, service was very good, our waitress was very attentive and our orders ariived in a timely manner. We ordered a couple of appetizer, they wer ok, nothing special. The prawns in chili tomato sauce were exceptional, cooked to perfection. normally we don't come into the city for chinese food, but i will definitley return.
