The Boys & Girls Club of East Scarborough is a safe, accessible, well known place where East Scarborough children and youth, from birth to 24, and their caregivers, from all cultural and economic backgrounds, can come to participate in well funded and powerfully staffed social, recreational and educational programs that are intentionally designed to enhance their growth, personal development and potential as contributing members of society.
The Storefront helps networks of residents, social service organizations, academic institutions, businesses, planners and architects engage in meaningful discussions, run programs, organize events, share learning and participate in many activities, effectively and collectively.
SCHC built on the initial services of our Meals-on-Wheels, home support, transportation and family support programs. We provide medical assistance through our clinics, are involved in a growing youth program and have a multitude of social support programs including a food bank.
Bereaved Families of Ontario–Durham Region is a non-profit organization which has been supporting families in the Durham Region for almost 20 years.This organization provides support programs to bereaved parents, young adults and teens. These programs offer support where bereaved individuals can learn to live with their grief, decrease their sense of isolation and help adapt to everyday living.
