Check out our Employment page for available positions.Find us on FacebookWant to keep updated with the latest FHCA news?Who We AreThe purpose of the FHCA is to promote wellness through recreational programs and related activities, as well as to provide volunteer opportunities, for the residents of our community.We are a volunteer organization, working together with the City of Kitchener to provide social and leisure opportunities for the Forest Heights Community and surrounding areas.We are based in the Forest Heights Community Centre (FHCC). The FHCC currently houses a total of five partners: City of Kitchener staff, FHCA, Kitchener Fire Department, Regional Emergency Medical Services, and the Forest Hill T-Ball Association.The FHCA follows the City of Kitchener's guidelines, policies, and procedures with all of its volunteers and participants in all activities.The FHCA relies on community-minded individuals like you to keep programs and events running.
Our intake team helps families to gain an understandingof the supports and services available within ourcommunity. They assist care providers to access thesupports and services they are seeking, as well asprovide ongoing resource support.Our clinical team provides assessment and consultationin the areas of Applied Behaviour Analysis, Behaviour,Counselling, Health Care and Speech and Language.Clinical ServicesService Coordinators help people to build thesupport networks they need to care forthemselves and their families.We provide a variety of workshops, clinics,training, and information sessions pertainingto developmental disabilities.& TrainingWorkshopsThe DSRC team provides informative workshops and training sessions for clients, families, professionals and the community at large.
