He started a siding company with his brother but moved to Victoria to pursue the leaky condo market. This gave him experience in all trades from finishing to drywall, masonry to concrete, and took him to Vancouver and eventually to Whistler. In 2002 Pelling Industries Ltd. was formed and Pelling began serving the water ingress problems of Whistler as well as doing high end renovations and building as a General Contracting firm.
