Here at the Golden Rooster you will find something to enjoy your palate. Today I was thinking of something with beef (it was their special of the day). Beverages were served cold, and food was served steaming hot. Large open area dining space , and a more secluded area by the bar.

Great food! I loved their meatball and cheese fritter appetizers so much. I don't order steak, but I had some great fish, and my boyfriend loved the steak. Delicious and unique.
Only thing I did not love was the choice of deserts. While the cherry ravioli was nice it isn't my type of desert.
Service was great 3 out of 3 times I've been there and the one time our salads were missed and the food was slow our desserts were comped. Over all great experience and nice addition to Hunter street.

Our refrigerator quit and Janet directed us to a new unit that we really liked. That was nine in the morning. By 1:30 Brad had it delivered and sitting in place in the kitchen. Thanks Janet and Brad. It was a great experience and we really appreciate you two!

Karel's just completed an automatic driveway estate gate on my property; my wife and I could have not be any happier with the end result. The gates are completely amazing, exceeded my expectations. They really helped me visualize what the completed project would look like before they even started building. One of the best things about the crew was that they were all very polite and helpful. There are 256 beds at FH organized into eight Resident Home Areas (RHA), each with its own care centre, dining room, activity room, lounges, spa, shower rooms and balconies. FH is a five-storey building serviced by two elevators and the main entrance is on level 2. There is no smoking room at FH.
One of the RHAs is designed to meet the special needs of cognitively impaired, but physically active residents.
Resident rooms at FH are designed to promote resident comfort and privacy. Rooms are furnished with an adjustable single bed (some are electric), night table, table lamp, overhead light fixtures, spacious wardrobe, high privacy sunshade over the window and sturdy upholstered chair. Each room has windows that can be opened for those who enjoy fresh air. In addition, each resident room has independent temperature controls and the Home is fully air conditioned. An interactive call bell system is provided in the resident’s living space as well as in the bathroom.
Established in 1960, Fairhaven is a 256-bed Long-Term Care Home offering both residential and extended care. Fairhaven is jointly owned by the municipalities of the City and County of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Residents and staff moved into the brand-new facility on January 27th, 2003.For over 50 years, Fairhaven has established itself as a viable and innovative organization that serves the people of the Peterborough region. First and foremost it is a Long-Term Care Home, owned and governed by the community and operated without reliance on operating funds from the municipality. As the needs of the community have changed, Fairhaven has responded by expanding its scope and reaching out to serve the continuum of needs in the long-term care field to individuals of all ages.
