No matter your story, we welcome you to join us as we all try to be a little bit better, a little bit kinder, a little more helpful—because that’s what Jesus taught. We are a diverse community of followers of Jesus Christ and welcome all to worship here. We fellowship together as well as offer youth and children’s programs.
Jesus Christ can make you a better person. You can make us a better community. Come worship with us. Church services are held every Sunday. Visitors are always welcome.
We have a staffed nursery here at SPA. Moms and Dads are welcome to drop their 0-3 year olds off and recieve a pager (alerts you if needed) or stay with your kids and watch the live video feed so you don't miss thing.
In 1948 a small group of young people from East Aldergrove decided to hold Sunday School classes in the Brookswood area. Using the Brookswood Community Hall they held classes every Sunday afternoon. The classes were well received, the children came and attendance grew. In 1958 the East Aldergrove MB Church youth group started a fund to raise money for a permanent Brookswood Church building. They purchased an acre of land on 36th Avenue in 1959 and services began officially on November 22, 1964 with 17 charter members. After many happy years in this building the congregation moved, in 1977, to it's current location on 22nd Avenue.
We are compelled by the love of Jesus to be a part of what He is doing in our community and around the world. Our hope is that we can serve you in your journey as you find hope, life, and purpose in Jesus.
A special welcome to you if you are looking for a church to worship in for Easter. If you are not familiar with Easter in the Anglican church you are in for a treat. Many people have joined Christ the Redeemer from traditions that are not familiar with 'liturgy' find that the ritual and symbol that accompany these services add depth to experiencing the last week of Jesus' life, death and resurrection. Please consider joining us for the entire Holy Week Cycle.
Golden Ears United Church is evolving into a flourishing, welcoming and accepting Christ-centered all-ages community. Transformed by our connection with God and growing in discipleship, we reach out in love to our neighbors.
