Bugs For Bugs is a leader in providing beneficial organisms (insects and nematodes) for biological pest management. These organisms are natural enemies of the pest. In nature, these organisms control the pest in an equilibrium. Our modern living and farming methods disrupt this equilibrium and thus cause high pest populations. Most people then use chemical pesticides to control the pests. However, as is becoming more apparent, pesticide use has resulted in many unforeseen and negative side effects. Some examples are harm to non-target species (including humans and pets), contamination of soil and water systems, and pesticide resistence; a well documented effect of over reliance on pesticides. Pesticide resistance results in the pests becoming immune to the pesticides, and thus more toxic and harmful pesticides are created and used to combat the pests.
