In 2010 Thea Sanders and Danah Raymondo, two alumni dancers from the Joanne Whittaker School of Dance re-opened the studio as JWSD - Evolution. Now in their 5th year, the studio has over 25 classes a week in multiple different dance styles. From 3 years to and up we have something fun for everyone! The Dynamic Room is the newest dance school in Sudbury. We provide dance education at a recreational and competitive level, offering classes from ages 3 and up to anyone who is eager to learn and grow. Our unique training methods are sure to promote a healthy, active, and positive lifestyle among aspiring young dancers in order to fulfill their complete potential as athletes and students.
Modern Dance is the technique based on the natural movement of the body and is designed to increase body control and coordination. Routines are set to modern and contemporary music. Students begin class with a centre floor warm-up, followed by across floor combinations such as leaps and turns. Class is ended with a fun routine taught using familiar chart music.
