I recently had the chance to taste a birthday cake made by Safety Mart bakery in Chase, BC. It was so tasty, with chocolate and fruit in the filling, not like usual boring bakery sheet cakes! The icing was also very well made. It wasn't sickly sweet, and the design and wording was beautifully done, honouring the 90-yr.old beekeeper so well. She was thrilled! Here's a picture of my half-eaten piece!Yummm!

Askew's Downtown is where I shop alot and it has managed to retain the "Corner store" small town feeling. The service is second to none and the store is clean and always well stocked. The staff is a part of the community and they make you feel like you're at home.
