Then, with the consultation of a few companies, we bought 100 tons of carbon offsets from Offsetters.ca to fund solar-energy projects in the Lower Mainland. What inspired me to take this step was to challenge other businesses to look beyond recycling, which Vancouver does a great job. I think carbon neutral is very avant-garde.Being from Whistler and still owing a salon there, I still place a little bit of that mountain magic in the salon, where everyone says hi to each other all the time and they are your friends. We go above and beyond to make customers happy, because there are only a few occupations where you can make people feel good about themselves.
