Our Children's Centre Society (OCCS) opened in February 1992 to provide programs to preschool children of the employees of the Provincial Government of British Columbia. We owe our existence to the vision and commitment of Provincial Government employees who helped make their dream a reality. OCCS is committed to meeting the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of children in a consistent and progressive manner. OCCS is a non-profit society whose mission is to provide quality, accessible and affordable childcare for families in the community. The Centre promotes physical, emotional, cognitive and social growth, and development of each child. OCCS strives to ensure the highest quality care, safety and security of all children while allowing parents to be supported in the continuance of their careers.
Welcome to our childcare center, where every day is a busy day filled with activities that will foster individual, social, physical, emotional & cognitive growth in a nurturing, fun atmosphere. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to discover their own individuality through both adult guided activities and through free play. Happy Campers Child Care started as a small family licensed in-home child care center and has grown to a company where our 40 loving, nurturing educators care for an average of 400 children in 11 centers every day. We are very much a family business; the owner, Lucy-Ann Smith, started the daycare in 1992 when her son was a month old. Now, her sons and her husband all work alongside Lucy-Ann to help your children's day be a happy & successful day.
