Ms. Jackie qualified and worked as an Elementary Teacher in the UK for ten years, five of those years with children with special needs. In 1982 in Aberdeen, Scotland, she set up and managed a licensed private preschool / daycare. During this time she was inspired to adopt the Montessori method after completing a course in the practice and principles of the method at Newborough Teacher’s Training Center in Liverpool UK. The directress Miss Dorothy Prior had been trained by former students of Dr. Montessori herself.

By encouraging play, our highly qualified and long term staff are able to nourish every aspect of a child’s development that enables them to learn and grow. We offer fun, hands on educational activities that focus on learning through play, community involvement and developing the fundamental skills needed to be successful in the future. Each of our six play rooms are divided into centers that focus on weekly themes and include craft supplies, early literacy activities, manipulative play, dramatic play, quiet areas and large muscle activities to promote the development of various skills. In addition, we offer nutritious homemade meals and snacks, regular library visits, yearly field trips around the community and a large, open backyard, right on site.
