Ted is the firm’s senior counsel. He graduated from the University of Toronto, in 1954 before attending Osgoode Hall. Since his call to the Bar in 1958 he has practiced from Sudbury throughout the Province of Ontario.
During his more than 50 years of practice he has represented over 15 persons accused with murder and countless numbers of persons on lessor offenses. He has special interest in crimes of violence and sexual abuse. This has led him to become knowledgeable in the use (and abuse) of firearms and edged weapons. Over the past 25 years Ted has developed novel statutory constitutional defences to alcohol-related offences such as impaired driving.
Over the course of his practice, Ted participated in several breaking civil suits. In 1988, he was awarded the continuing designation of Specialist in Civil Litigation by the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Michael Macnamara is a graduate of Carleton University in 2007 where he obtained a B.A. (in law) and the University of New South Wales in 2012 in Sydney, Australia, where he obtained his Juris Doctor. He was called to the bar Ontario Bar in January 2014.
