My experience has been really good at this clinic. Dr Al-Askar is a pleasure to talk too and his experience and caring is really nice, considering how busy doctors are these days. I have always been able to get appointments when needed.Read more

St. Joseph's Health Centre has been serving the Guelph and Wellington community since the day it first opened its doors as a refuge for the sick, the injured, the frail and the indigent in 1861. Today, we are Guelph's leading, fully-accredited, not-for-profit provider of resident long-term care, complex continuing care, and rehabilitation services. We also offer excellent community outreach services for people who live in their own homes but need a little assistance in their day-to-day lives because of dementia-related conditions, injury (including an acquired brain injury), frailty, or problems associated with isolation. In addition, St. Joseph's out-patient clinics offer a range of services in the areas of geriatrics, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech/language pathology, rheumatology, physiatry, and bone densitometry.

The launching of this website in September 2002 coincided with the relocation of my practice to 125 Delhi Street, Guelph ON. The concept of the website and its format emerged this summer on a shinkansen (the legendary ' bullet train ') journey from Yokohama to Hiroshima, Japan and it materialized recently on the World Wide Web. The site introduces the practice to my colleagues and patients. It provides easily accessible resources in the form of patient education, medical journal reviews und links to important medical sites. An additional section provides the latest updates on important clinical trial results, and presents the 'ECG of the Month' as chosen from my clinical files. The website is still undergoing construction and will be continuously updated to bring you the latest in Cardiology. Your comments and feedback are greatly appreciated. In this Electronic Age of the 21st Century, the Latin adage verba volant, scripta manent holds true. This site is independent of the pharmaceutical industry (apart from links to externally run sites) and does not hold any competing interests.
