The naturally beautiful Pelican Landing community encompasses 2,365 acres in Bonita Springs. It is bordered on the south by Spring Creek, which the State of Florida designated an 'Outstanding Florida Water,' and on the west by Estero Bay, an aquatic preserve leading to the Gulf of Mexico.Careful planning and development of Pelican Landing has preserved the pristine natural beauty of this community. Winding roadways throughout the community are shadowed by majestic live oaks, pine trees and other native trees and vegetation. Intimate neighborhoods are filled with wild palmettos, slash pines, and Florida's state tree, the sabal palm. Homeowners are encouraged to use existing vegetation in their landscape plans and to supplement with native plants as much as possible. By working with nature, our homeowners enjoy a community that blends with its natural setting.
Upholstery Works was originally the brainchild of Margaret Mortimer who started the business about 12 years ago from her home in Diep River, together with a couple of helpers. Today the business has grown to be a thriving operation offering top quality in the upholstery and manufacture of a wide range of furniture items. In December 2011, Margaret sold the business to the current owner, Andrew Flynn. It is important to point out that we can manufacture furniture from scratch to exactly match the client's circumstances and requirements. By working hand in hand with the client through the design and manufacture process clients get exactly what they want as a unique piece of furniture. Due to our open factory policy, client's are encouraged to come in on a regular basis while their furniture is being made, in order to ensure that requirements are being met every step of the way. If changes need to be made, they get made there and then instead of waiting for the finished product.
