SOLS Staff LoginSouthern Ontario Library Service (SOLS) and Groupe Archambault have signed an agreement that will enable Ontario public libraries to purchase French-language eBook titles to form a shared collection. Users from all participating libraries (both those served by SOLS and those served by Ontario Library Service –North) will be able to access all titles. Learn more about the agreement... Over the past six months we've seen a jump in our circulation statistics for our digital collections. We are happy to announce that the Ontario Library Service Consortium is in the top 10 for circulation among Overdrive library partners worldwide!A competencies approach to performance management links individual performance to organizational goals and strategies. The SOLS Competencies Index has been compiled as a staff development tool specifically for Ontario public libraries. SOLS staff will outline the Competencies tool at the winter 2014 round of Library Committees.
The symposium is very inclusive. Many of the attendees will be engineering and science graduate students, but it's open across campus and appeals to a number of different fields. The more people who join from different academic and professional backgrounds the better, from physicists to materials scientists to political and environmental science students interested in energy policy.
