York Region Food Network seeks to be an acknowledged and respected centre for the promotion of food security – a healthy, accessible and sustainable food system in York Region. In support of this vision, YRFN works to raise public awareness on the many issues affecting food security such as affordable housing, adequate employment, education, accessible childcare and social assistance policies through programming, outreach and advocacy initiatives.

Knights Table provides food bank services on a weekly basis and free hot meals 365 days of the year to anyone in need of food. Knights Table also provides a Good Neighbour program offering free bread and sweets to anyone in need and takes the program mobile to senior homes and high-risk areas in Peel region. Donations of money, time and food are needed and appreciated.

We are a learning centre helping English-speaking adults in our area tobuild their reading, writing, math, computer and employment skills.We accomplish this through our employment skills upgrading and adult literacyand essential skills programs.

Help protect a child from abuse. Listen to what kids say. It is our goal, whenever possible, to maintain a child in the home or with extended family, but if this is not viable, children are placed in safe, nurturing environments, including foster homes.
