For over 100 years, VON has pioneered health services in Canada. We have a proud tradition of often being the first to identify emerging health and social needs, and then providing innovative services that meet those needs. That's the way it's been since the founding of the Victorian Order of Nurses for Canada. In the Canada of the late 1890s, nurses, doctors and hospitals were desperately needed in remote areas and in rapidly growing towns and cities.
Since those early days, Kerrys Place Autism Services has grown to support over 6,000 individuals of all ages and their families with a broad continuum of specialized supports and services across South Western Ontario. It is through the extraordinary dedication and efforts of the individuals themselves, or family members, of staff, of volunteers and of advocates that we are able to find ways of helping individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder reach their highest potential. With the addition of community outreach services, we have been able to provide support and consultation to individuals with autism who live at home.
