I have been in the food and hospitality industry for most of my adult life, working in kitchens and dining rooms in Ontario and Nova Scotia and teaching food and beverage courses to audiences of all levels. I am passionate about making good food and about making people happy with food. I've been making pasta for family and friends for fun for years, and decided to 'turn pro' in the spring of 2010 with a stand at the Wolfville Farmers' Market. The shop in Port Williams opened in the spring of 2011. The response and support from our customers has been overwhelming! Dr. Janis Noseworthy graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1992 with a BSc in Biology and a BA in French. In 1994, she completed her BSc (Honours) in Neuropsychology. She subsequently graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1998.
Dr. Janis is certified in Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute and is trained in custom orthotic fitting, gradient compression hosiery fitting, and office ergonomics. She is a member in good standing of the Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors (NSCC). Since 2004, Dr. Janis has served on the Board of the NSCC in various positions including Director, Vice Chair, Chair, and Chair of the NSCC Peer Assessment Committee, and she currently holds the position of Past Chair. As well, she is a volunteer with the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board and the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College Interview Team.
