Learning is our children's full-time job. What we all really want for our children is for them to be happy, successful, and to experience school as a positive place to be. Having a strong sense of your child's learning strengths and weaknesses supports them in reaching their potential and experiencing success in their learning. Assessments help you help your child. Most people would like to change something about their lives. The ability to change is within each of us, however, we do not always make the changes we want, or even know where, or how to begin. Both pros and cons to making the desired change likely exist, and these competing ideas can often serve to keep us "stuck. To make matters worse, making a change typically means giving something up, and when we give something up, we replace it with something new, usually the unknown. Confronting the unknown often produces feelings of anxiety and uncertainty. Many people resist change, despite the desire to change, because they feel very uncomfortable when they cannot predict their own feelings, responses, or what might happen in the future because of this change. Fear of the unknown can then become another obstacle to change. The process is difficult, and change is never easy, or we would be doing it already!
