I try and hit up Rodney's whenever I am in Van.
Located on trendy Hamilton St. it's got some serious character. Sit at the bar for a great view of the oyster shucking and some lively chat with the bartenders. Staff is friendly with plenty of personality. They have an oyster happy hour 4-6pm (if I remember correctly) where it's half price oysters. And seeing as many of the oysters and ingredients come right out of the ocean around BC the food is beyond fresh.
And in case you were wondering, this place has the best selection of oysters I have seen yet. 11 different kinds on the last visit. My favorites being Fanny Bay and Kushi. Good selection of craft beer on tap too.

Imagine waking up and being able to read the time on your alarm clock without having to put your glasses on! Imagine going for a run and not having push your glasses back up your sweaty nose! Imagine going for a swim and being able to see the faces of those around clearly! These are things I can do now because I had laser corrective surgery at Coal Harbour Eye Centre. I love Taf's. It has a Berlinesque feel to it and is one of kind. Such a relief in this franchised world! AND There are not TV's in every corner annoying the patrons. The art and music adds a unique atmosphere which is very pleasurable. It has an underground feeling with cozy seating upstairs. I always go to TAF's when I'm Downtown.
