Excellent meal.
Service was great - waitress was fun and checked on us every so often to see how we were doing.
Food? Delicious! My burger was great, and the rest of my family thought good of the restaurant as well.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The old-fashioned chalkboard written deals and combos scattered across the restaurant felt like good-old home.
I tell you all, this is my new FAVORITE place to eat. I had a bite of chicken fingers, too -- HeAvEnLy!
If you decide to dine here, you won't be disappointed, I guarantee it!

I have been going to Main Event for the past 3 months and all I can say is "Wow"!
The food is great, the atmosphere is awesome and the staff really make you feel welcomed and part of the family. I am really impressed with the cleanliness of the bar, especially the washrooms. Hats off to the new management and I hope it continues to stay this way.

I understand that new owners took over in 2009. They kept the cosy atmosphere and all the great Scotch, and they made the food a lot better. The place looks more spiffy now, too. The pub crowd that gathers there is very friendly, and the staff is very personable and attentive. My friends and I plan to go back -- often!

This place seems oddly out of place in its location in the Main-Danforth area, and should instead be located in a more trendy area that would appreciate its loveliness. It is a family run establishment but it is a wonderful place for brunch, or dinner. The food is very well priced and the flavours are amazing. Bravo!

We went to the Black Horse for a secretaries' party last Christmas. It was a very loud atmosphere, so we wouldn't go back for a group gathering for that reason, however the food and service was very good. Everyone was very happy with their meals, and we had fast & friendly service.

Lion on the Beach is great place to relax, drink and eat. The food to date has always been delicious and scores high points in presentation and originality. While it is the disguise as regular pub fare, it would appear to be more tantilizing than one would have expected.
The atmosphere is soothing and fun much like the rest of the beaches. The services can be a bit irradict due to overflow of customers but has always been exceptional. The one draw back on the services comes from one particular bartender who has forced me to go on painkillers due to making me smile so hard that my face hurts.
