We visited several farms and community gardens to observe and participate in gathering ingredients and the evaluation of food production. Daily preparation and harvest of healthy in season snacks and lunches each day and prepared for the creation of a full meal for all of their families on Friday. We also prepared sprouting kits for each family with the motivation of providing nutritional boot to any meal. A visit from a local yogurt company was a great education opportunity for the participants to learn about the process of making yogurt while anticipating our yummy creations.
