Natacha V. Beim established Core Education & Fine Arts (CEFA), Canada's first junior kindergarten school, in 1998. Our full day early learning program is designed for infants and children up to five years old. The enriched curriculum features a unique partnership of core subjects, such as Reading and Math, with fine arts, including Drama and Yoga, providing children with the freedom to learn and grow through play.
Step By Step Child Development Society is a non-profit organization offering a variety of programs and services to children aged birth to 12 years and their families, with a special interest in children who have special needs. By working closely with the children and families within our community, we are able to provide qualtiy programs that are reflective of the needs of the community we serve.
Children in our Multi Age Program enjoy:Science Activities, Music and Movement, Creative Arts, Dancing, Singing, Practical Life Activities, Sensorial Activities, Snack, Outdoor Play Time, Outdoor Nature Walks, Yoga, Sign Language, and Much Much More...We offer Full and Part Time Care for children between the ages 11 months and 6 years.We have one fully certified ECE teacher for every eight children in our care.Little Garden Montessori Center is closed for all Statutory Holidays and for 1 week in August and December.
The child care centre was founded and maintained by parents who desire to have an active role in their child's education. Parents and community members take the responsibility of managing the centre through the Board of Directors. Together with the teachers they provide quality child care and early learning opportunities for children who attend our programs. There are also a variety of voluntary participation options for you to choose from if you would like to contribute to your child's learning experience.
Alegria Childcare is based upon the philosophy of respect for the individuality of the child, his/her ability to grow, create, think, experiment and discover. Our teachers are appropriately qualified Infant and Toddler/Early Childhood Educators and they are required to have a current First Aid certificate, a criminal record check, and a physician's declaration of suitability in accordance with the Child Care Licensing Regulation. Staff members are required to participate in ongoing professional development programs by taking workshops and courses to update and acquire new skills. Our program is designed to provide opportunities to learn through play in all areas of development: social, emotional, physical and cognitive, while providing a safe, fun and loving environment for children.
Our program include a preschool program in the morning,that contain phonics, music, and movement, language , math, sensorial stimulation, science, Spanish introduction and fine and gross motor activities.
