In 1958, a small group of parents established a classroom for their children in the West End primary school in Port Hope. The school was named Sunshine Heights.The Association received its' charter in 1959. An organization to monitor and support this new
Habitat for Humanity Northumberland's viison: a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Through the efforts of our volunteers and families, we are supported by monetary and material donations from individuals, trades, faith and community groups, along with local businesses and companies. Habitat partner families become mortgage-paying homeowners whose mortgage payments then help other families find a path out of poverty.
