Fort Point, in the village of LaHave, is the site of the First Capital of New France. The Dublin Bay area was first visited by Samuel de Champlain in 1604, when he and Sieur de Monts anchored in Green Bay for 4 days before travelling on to the Bay of Fundy. In 1632, Commander Isaac de Razilly, first Viceroy and Lieutenant General of New France, built Fort Ste. Marie de Grace on the point of land at the mouth of the LaHave River. It was, from 1632-36, the First Capital of New France. Today, this site is known as Fort Point, a National Historic Site and home of Fort Point Museum and Lighthouse.

For the afternoon, I head back to the main concert hall for a session on Semantics. Once again there are some impressive speakers in this line up with a wealth of knowledge between them.Insights from the Links session at BrightonSEOAfter a minute soaking up the glorious sunshine, I head to the main hall for the second morning session, this time on Links. It is a specular venue with quite a capacity and I'm looking forward to hearing from the great speakers.

Free Range Designs is a collective of woodworkers and craftspeople spearheaded by myself, Paul Bullen, a South African born artist who found my way to furniture making by accident. With a background in graphic design, I have never had any formal woodworking training; I first started making rustic furniture with my older brother Nick, when we were living together in Wilderness, South Africa and continued working with him, and my younger brother Tim, when we came over to the UK in 2002. I think my lack of formal training has helped me to view furniture making as an art form, and not as a learned craft only open to the professionally-trained, and has encouraged me to experiment and take a novel approach to designing and making.

Flinn Electric is located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and services the greater Halifax Regional Municipality. We offer electrical services and sales for both commercial and residential clients. We also provide communications services, fire alarm systems, CCTV and data solutions. We preform new installations as well as upgrades and repairs to existing electrical systems.
