Global Impact Development (GID) was founded by a cadre of youths from varied backgrounds. They possessed the vision, passion, aptitude and willingness, which allowed them to successfully tackle and overcome the challenges facing youths. Today, they stand as testament of what can be accomplished and, with their energy and understanding of the youth issues, and are an inspiration to their peers. GID represents a convergence of the ambitions and skills sets of its founders, which uniquely positions the organization to achieve record breaking results in helping youth overcome all obstacles they face. GID has become a youth driven, youth focused organization, believing strongly that peer education, and support is the solution towards the empowerment and betterment of today’s young people.
Welcome to National Diabetes Trust, Canada’s largest charitable small household goods and clothing collection service and the social enterprise of Diabetes Canada.
With more than 3,000 donation bins and an active home pick-up service in communities across Canada, we collect unwanted gently used household items and clothing to raise much-needed funds for Diabetes Canada. This helps support programs and research on behalf of the 11 million Canadians living with diabetes and pre-diabetes.
But we’re more than just household items and clothing donation collectors. We are an organization of dedicated professionals working with Canadians from coast to coast fighting to End Diabetes through waste diversion. Each year, the program diverts more than 100 million lbs. of household items and clothing from landfill sites across Canada.
With your help, we can continue to support diabetes research, education and reduce our environmental impact. Schedule a pickup today!
