At Long Table Distillery we believe in hand crafted, small batch and local. Our family owned and operated distillery evolved from a passion for the distillation of fine spirits using traditional distilling practices with our custom designed artisan copper pot still. We love great Gin and we like to push the limits on exploring and creating other innovative new spirits. Each bottle we distribute combines our love of alchemy, the use of local and globally sourced wild foraged botanicals and establishing collaborations along the way. For the past two years we've been growing our family of premium Gins, and unique hand crafted, small batch spirits created in our North False Creek microdistillery. Today our family of spirits include: London Dry Gin; Cucumber Gin; Bourbon Barrelled Gin; Texada Vodka; Langbord Akvavit; and Marc du Soleil Brandy. Our name Long Table celebrates being social, together. Try Gin and Tonic Fridays or Saturday Craft Cocktails. Visit: www.longtabledistillery.com
Even though I do a lot of book shopping online these days I still love going to Chapters and browsing the aisles and aisles and aisles of books. This store is great by virtue of its location and the knowledgeable staff who can guide you to almost any title in the store. It is also a great place to while away an afternoon flipping through books you may buy since the staff pretty much leaves you to your own devices if this is what you are choosing to do. They also have a great little gift section for unique and interesting gift items. They used to have a pretty good music section but this is being renovated right now...possibly because they are no longer going to carry music. Head into Chapters at Broadway and Granville and lose yourself in the books!Read more
The Capilano Suspension Bridge is great family fun. The central part of this attraction is of course the bridge itself. 80 metres above the Capilano River it is often gut-check time to head out on the bridge and take a look over the side as it sways with the other visitors or, worse, the breeze. There isn't much to worry about but it is an exhilarating experience nonetheless. Beyond the bridge there is another equally exhilarating experience in the Treetops Adventure. Picture being high above the forest floor and going from tree to tree on a series of suspension bridges and getting to rest on platforms attached to the trees. Very cool. They have a great gift shop and lots of opportunities to learn about the history of the bridge and the first nations history in the area. A great deal for local residents too is that you can buy an unlimited membership good for a year for the same price as regular admission.Read more

YYoga was founded by Terry McBride and Lara Kozan in 2007 with the vision of offering a guest focused approach while providing a wide variety of yoga lineages in an 'all are welcome' environment. , At the center of this environment would be an abundance of classes offered by the industry's best teachers. These classes would be surrounded by spa-like amenities and services such as wellness, showers, saunas and lounges; all working to create an amazing experience, local community and healthy lifestyle., In only three years, this vision has turned into seven YYoga centers throughout Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond and Whistler! , At YYoga we do all that we can to contribute to healthy environments. From the centers we build to the products we source to our everyday operations, being eco-conscious is at the heart of all we do.
