Pita Mania is a unique restaurant, not only in Essex County, but possibly in all of Ontario. I’d like to take a minute to explain why. Each day we prepare enough ingredients to last that day – if we run out, we simply close. We have a limited menu, which allows us enough time to prepare everything fresh on a daily basis. Every day, we hand-chop romaine lettuce, red onions and field tomatoes. Only the finest products are used. The chicken we serve can only be found in 5-star restaurants. Daily, we take a breast of chicken, remove all the skin and fat, leaving 100% pure white meat. We then cube, skewer and marinate it for 8-12 hours. Each chicken skewer is grilled fresh, on the spot, when ordered. Wrapped in a grilled pita bread, topped with fresh vegetables hand-chopped that day and served with our homemade special sauce, it’s no wonder the Chicken Supreme has become our signature dish!

Santorini Grill has been transcending the everyday Greek cuisine by serving an authentic and traditional experience in the heart of Thornhill at Bayview and John. Opened by Dennis Triantafillos as an ode to his heritage, Santorini has become a staple for great food and inviting atmosphere. With a newly designed aesthetic, courtesy of top Toronto designer, Marc Kyriacou of MarcKyr Inc., the feeling of Greece comes to your table, in true Mediterranean style. Starting with only the finest Greek imported ingredients – from oregano and olive oil to feta cheese and fresh fish – Dennis has brought his techniques learned in the kitchens of Greece to dishes prepared this side of the Atlantic. Using high-quality products such as Black Angus Beef, fresh seafood, local produce, and fresh bread, Santorini's kitchen provides only the best in Mediterranean cuisine.

Four us before a show at the Royal Alexandria - so definitely convenient - especially with the free parking in the metro centre available. Service was good and prompt. Food was tasty. However, portion size could have been bigger, especially for the price! I had chicken souvlaki with all greek salad on the side (asked for no potatoes, not rice, no carbs for me) and it was $19. One skewer of chicken with 5 pieces of meat on it. My husband had the pork souvlaki, $20, and had to pay another $5 for a tiny greek salad on the side. $14 for saganaki. Again, good, but would have been great if portions were a little bigger and or prices were a little cheaper. Read more
