Although the hotel was undergoing renovations and looked like a run-down apartment building (also was in a sort of ""ghetto"" neighbourhood), the hotel was actually quite decent and nice inside. It looked like a hotel at least. The front desk staff were pleasant and friendly. I liked the fact that they didn’t charge for parking (which if we would have stayed on the other side of the bridge in downtown Ottawa, they would have). There was just a lot of construction going on and at times was very noisy (if you opened the room window/balcony). The staff were very accommodating. Room was always cleaned well and washroom was fine (only complaint is the hot water in the shower was a bit weird -- kept changing from hot to cold on some of the days). Overall it was quite a decent hotel for the price. I wouldn’t mind staying here again if I can’t get anything cheaper/similar quality downtown.Read more
surprised by the continental breakfast, in addition to a variety of breads and bagels, fresh bananas and apples there were sausages, home fries and scrambled egg 'discs' so we could make our own breakfast sandwiches.Read more
