The Tied House Pub is a great place for fresh, local brewed beer. Here you can get beer with taste. Each draught brew has its own character and is quite distinctive from the others on tap. If you have never had good beer before I would recommend a few visits to the pub to try various beers - perhaps a couple of half pints each time. Have some soup and a sandwich and prepare to taste beer and not just wet air.

We booked Spring Man Canada for snow removal the day of an anticipated snow storm... and thank god we did! Woke up today to an amazing job well done... an early Christmas miracle. I have stopped in to this small and un-assuming bar in the bus terminal a few times, as I have a friend who works there. All in all, it's a great place to hang out for a few drinks, watch the game or just unwind after a long day. There are always quite a few friendly "regulars" there, and by the time you leave they will be your new friends! I first expected to see more downtown "riff-raff" hanging out there, but that doesn't seem to be the case at all.
Transfers has a pretty basic menu - sandwiches, pitas, caesar salad, nothing too exciting, but everything I have tried has been exceptionally good and the prices are VERY reasonable! For example, my last visit I had a Gyro pita with fries, and it was huge and delicious and only $5.99! Definitely a good value there...it is also worth mentioning that their fries are fantastic - I do not usually eat fries (don't like them) but these were great! I hear the poutine with real cheese curds is out of this world.
If you find yourself at or near the bus terminal with some time to kill, I would recommend stopping in for a drink or three and some food. The ladies that work there are all very nice (I realise I am a little biased here as one of them is a good friend, but it's true) and the atmosphere is fun and laid-back.
The only drawback is that the only (free) parking is on the street...sometimes there aren't any spots, and even the parking lot you have to pay for is sometimes full as well. Not a problem if you're taking the bus I suppose.

Nathan and his team have taken down three trees for us safely and quickly! We also had them come back to remove the stumps. They were knowledgeable, experienced, and answered my lengthy list of questions! We hope to have them back this coming spring to install sod. I highly recommend them!

Sweetpea's is a very special florist in the heart of Roncesvalles. The staff at Sweetpea's are experts in their craft, designing beautiful bouquets that are unique and fitting for the occasion. During the spring and summer months Sweetpea's offers many annual and perennial potted flowers that are a perfect fit for the garden. Poinsettias and Christmas trees are available in the Christmas season. Beautiful decor, gift cards, vases, soaps and trinkets line the walls of Sweetpea's creating a little piece of heaven.
After trying several other florists in the area and in Etobicoke Sweetpea's always astounds me with the freshness of their flowers. Bouquets last anywhere from one to 3 weeks depending on the sunlight or indoor temperatures. The prices vary depending on the type of flowers but they are competitive, if not a little cheaper.
With a shop full of smiling faces and furry friends this is a must visit place!

Recently picked up wall stones and patio stones, I was blown away with the service. Alex in the office was very helpful; he calculated all of my material and gave great design suggestions. Everything so far had been spot on! I now have a great looking patio and garden. I would highly recommend Toemar if you are a home owner or do it your-selfer.
