Welcome to Riffmakers Music! With 15 years of experience in music-making and 7 years of teaching, we’re here to help you with all your music needs. Whether you’re picking up a guitar, piano, ukulele, or bass, our music lessons are tailored to all skill levels and genres. Join us for jam sessions, we also take custom commissions, like transcriptions, arrangements, and mixing & mastering. We also craft custom and original music and offer in-depth music theory lessons. The entity known as Heart & Stone was originally formed by singer, songwriter and driving force, Tony Anton in the fall of 1989. During the next seven years, Heart & Stone performed relentlessly both as opening acts and Headliners to thousands of faithful fans. The energy and experience cultivated during this time was captured on the groups first CD entitled 'Eternity'. Eternity was well received by radio stations both in Canada and Europe. The video for the song 'Ocean Blue' was also put into rotation by Much Music.
Rick is a fully rounded musician and offers decades of experience as a performer, accompanist and piano teacher.
As a pianist/performer who is also a composer he takes pride that each song in his repertoire shines in a way that would make the composer proud. In fact part of his teaching method is for students to learn to get inside the head of the composer or song-writer.
He has not only played at all kinds of celebrations and events including wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, birthdays, corporate functions but has been a musical director for several broadway musicals. .
