Since 1982, Blue Door Shelters, a not-for-profit registered charitable agency (# 13057 1896 RR0001) governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, has been an integral part of our community providing emergency shelter for the homeless population of York Region.
We are a learning centre helping English-speaking adults in our area tobuild their reading, writing, math, computer and employment skills.We accomplish this through our employment skills upgrading and adult literacyand essential skills programs.
Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers is a not-for-profit, charitable organization providing support and educational services to pregnant and parenting young women under the age of 25 across York Region.Since 1985, we have given young mothers the opportunity to work towards their goals in a supportive, learning-centered environment while parenting their young children. With the generous support of our community, we are able to enhance the lives of young women and their families. We are the only agency providing these services in the region and the need for our services continues to grow each year.
