Colleen founded Twin Rinks Physiotherapy Clinic in 1994. Born and raised in Winnipeg, she graduated from the University of Manitoba, School of Rehabilitation Medicine in 1988. Colleen received a diploma in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy in 1998 and Acupuncture certification in 1993. She is certified in IMS Gunn Intramuscular Neural Stimulation and is a member of iSTOP (Institute for the Study and Treatment of Pain). IMS is a dry needling technique for patients with chronic pain and long standing musculoskeletal problems. Colleen has taken special interest in the concept of core stability and has developed an exercise program to help people improve their spinal stabilization. She has been involved in the treatment of many athletes involved in running, gymnastics, dance and contact sports. Colleen stays fit by running, skiing and gardening.
Dr. Kim was drawn to Naturopathic Medicine because of (1) her philosophy of respect for the patients' innate ability to heal as well as being compassionate for their suffering, (2) integrated approach to treating the patients with truly expansive scope of pratice – nutrition, counseling, manipulation, IV therapies, massage, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, minor surgeries, detoxification, acupuncture, herbal medicine, and now pharmaceutical uses to mention some, and (3) a practice without specialty-boundary where the doctor can treat a patient in all major areas.
The men's club is open to any men interested in joining. Our membership is open to the public. There is also a companion Ladies Club for interested women. Our members are both working and retired and come from all over Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Our membership is a mixture of young and middle age adults, seniors and retirees. Our weekend events are designed so that everyone can compete, have fun and enjoy the camaraderie. Unlike the private and semi-private golf clubs, there is no huge golf course membership fee.
