After reading about Ding Tai Fung in the local newspaper, we tried it this morning with my wife and her parents. And, we were rewarded with excellent dim sum. The menu is a la carte, so everything arrived piping hot and fresh. The deep fried squid tentacles were amazing, perfectly salty & crunchy. Siu Mai was also good, done a little differently with brown rice on top. The green onion pancakes were flavourful, and not too oily. Xiao Long Bao were heavenly, with moist flavourful pork on the inside and perfectly done wrapping. We also ordered steamed vegetable buns, spring rolls, and a sticky rice bun called "si fan" with salty, crispy pork rolled into the inside.
The decor is nice, and restaurant seemed very clean overall. Bill was $58 fo 4 adults including tip.
I think this is some of the best dim sum in the GTA, and we've eaten extensively from Markham to Scarborough to downtown Chinatown. My parents in law who are from Taiwan and China were also impressed. We'll definitely return!Read more
Come taste a delightful creation at Inaho Japanese Restaurant. Explore a menu featuring a variety of sushi, priced at 11$ to 25$ and experience their casual surrounding. They are open after-hours Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and throughout week-ends and are readily accessible by car. They are found in a location packed with merchants.
I often go here for lunch since I work nearby.
The Japanese chef is very friendly and welcoming. I've had an incredibly pleasant experience every time just being in this quiet and calm restaurant (although every once in a while it's absolutely full with a lunch crowd!)
I like the sushi, salmon nigiri in particular, and their uni is very very good. They don't carry toro at all, by choice. Squid, scallop, hamachi, all great. Rolls are very lovely presented.
Everyone I've ever taken with me to this place has enjoyed it, whether they were sushi-addicted like me or just into it once in a while.
I'm definetly going back.Read more

CHAKO is a do it you self 'all you can eat' BBQ & Izakaya restaurant. What set us apart is fume free dining environment as each of our grill is equipped with its own exhaust system. An excellent spot to sample Hong Kong-style dishes, Big Mouth Kee seems a frill-free, apparently unremarkable Richmond Hill diner - until you get a taste of its food. Here's where the real-stuff Chinese awaits your attention. Those in the know urge guests to order from the Chinese, and not the English, menu. Find braised pork of the highest order, and Vancouver crab, plucked live from the restaurant's tank before getting the treatment that delivers its dressed-up freshness to the plate. The Peking duck, featuring a whole bird that's carved tableside, is old-school Chinese at its best. And a rich dim sum menu positively sings with authenticity. The décor is retro and unadorned at Big Mouth Kee, but it's the cuisine that counts here.
Miyabi Restaurant has been in business in Richmond Hill since 1994 and has consistently strived to provide delicious and authentic Japanese cuisine to the satisfaction of its patrons.
While Zen is our favourite Japanese Restaurant, my boyfriend and I have enjoyed dining here for their enoki maki (thin slices of beef wrapped around enoki-Japanese mushrooms). Their nigiri and sashimi while delicious is not a priority for us to order as they serve very thin small pieces for the price you pay.
We have also had their sukiyaki (we cook ourselves on the table) and it is large enough for 3 people, although much more expensive ($60 for 2 people which includes rice and raw egg for dipping) than other restaurants where we have enjoyed the same. The sukiyaki comes traditionally (as they served), with slices of thin sukiyaki beef, tofu, Chinese cabbage, green onion, oyster mushrooms, shitake mushrooms and regular mushrooms, transparent thin noodles and onion. Their broth was excellent-not too sweet. A great meal to have on a cold day.Read more
